Beer n Buses - Yorkshire Days OutBeer n Buses - Yorkshire Days Out produce information packs for bus enthusiasts visiting the glorious White Rose county this summer. There will be 6 packs covering the most scenic bus routes in the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Coast. Some services like the Coastliner over the Moors to Goathland (Heartbeat village) and Whitby are all double-deckers – a fantastic experience, especially in August when the purple heather is out. One trip is outside Yorkshire, along the dramatic Northumbrian coastline with its castles, islands and deserted beaches. Each pack contains an itinerary with a commentary of fascinating facts about the countryside you pass through and the villages and towns visited. It also has street maps with the exact location of bus stops and award-winning traditional inns so that you don't have to worry about where to get on and off buses, and are not wasting valuable time looking for decent places to eat and drink. Local attractions are also highlighted. Paul Kirby, who started the packs in 2011, believes the network will be as comprehensive as last years but warns that the future of services, like Moorsbus, is under threat if not well used. "Let's hope plenty more people are tempted to come to 'Gods Own County' and help these fantastic services to survive". For further information - see advert: Click here. The trips start from either Leeds or York. Packs cost £15 each, including postage. Check the website www.beerandbuses.co.uk for more details. |
